Fun at the Aquarium

Just got home from a day on Signal Mountain and wanted to share a few highlights. Decided to leave out on Friday after work and make a stop for the evening in Murfreesboro to see friends. Had a great time eating pizza and visiting with great friends. I can't believe that I didn't get any pictures of Jeff, Cindy, Kassandra, and Elizabeth, but the visit was great. Need to do that more often! Moved on down the road so we could get an earlier start with the kids on Saturday.

It's so great to be greeted with hugs when we arrive. As many of you remember, I was so worried Reed wouldn't remember who we were, but he proves to me every time how wrong I was. Feeling his little arms around my neck is worth every mile we drive to get there.
Grumpy had to steel a few kisses from Molly. At least now he isn't afraid he will break her!
We decided to spend some time at the aquarium since it was so hot outside. There is a new section we hadn't seen before. Here Reed is waiting to pet a stingray!
Here, he hitched a ride on Grumpy's shoulders so he could see the penguins!
Can't say that Molly really enjoyed the aquarium, but she was a real trooper. Riding along patiently.
Then we had to cool down and build up our energy for the ride back home, so we stopped for some ice cream! Yummy!
Molly was sure glad to get back home! Check out that smile.
A nice dinner in a little local Italian spot (Mama's Place, I think) and time came to leave for home. I tried to kidnap Reed (Molly still has to be with Mommy for feeding time), but Mommy and Daddy wouldn't buy it. They conveniently changed the subject. Wasn't up for discussion, but hang on Reed. Gramma will keep on asking! It was a great day! Oh, it was also a late Happy Birthday for Michael and a late Happy Aniversary for Michael and Jessica. Love you all.

On the way home, I got to talk with Kaelyn about her little mini church camp. Sounds like she had a wonderful time. Glad she and Chris got to have a little Daddy-Daughter time away. I understand they were the hit of the farewell party singing "I'm a little tea pot"! Oh to have been a fly on the wall. Hearing the excitement in her voice as she told me about her new friends and all of the mail she received at camp put the topping on the cake of a wonderful day.

Can't imagine my life as anything else, but being Gramma!
